Introduction. The links below take you to pages that contain some simple animations of the response of southern North America to an incident P wave (P-wave receiver functions). The array includes stations installed as part of the EarthScope project as well as stations from the Caltech seismic network in southern California respectively and stations operated by the US Geological Survey (IU and US).
