The Principle of Universality

Objectives:

1) Sketch the early history of modern science.

2) Trace the development of the "Principle of Universality" - the idea that we can study natural processes here and now on Earth and apply that knowledge to understand the past, present and future of the Universe.

3) Discuss some great scientists and their personalities, strengths, and weaknesses - to illustrate the human aspect of scientific study.
