The Hydrologic Cycle

The hydrosphere is the envelope of water that surrounds the Earth and is another feature that distinguishes Earth from other known planets.

The hydrosphere includes the oceans, rivers, lakes, streams, glaciers, groundwater, and the atmosphere.

Water is constantly exchanged between these "reservoirs" of moisture. By far, the most water is stored in the oceans.
